Teen Shooting Suspect Sought by Toms River Police Following Tuesday Incident

Shots rang out in a Toms River mobile home park Tuesday afternoon, leading to attempted murder charges against one juvenile and a police search for another. The would-be victim of the shooting was not hit.

The ages and names of the victim and one known suspect were not released, however both were male. A third male suspect remains unidentified.

According to Lt. Gene Bachonski, Toms River Police officers at about 4:05 p.m. were called to the area of Camino Medio for reported gunshots heard in the area. Contact was made with a male victim who stated that he was riding his bicycle through the Friendly Village development and was shot at by a juvenile he apparently knew. Multiple rounds were fired, none of which hit the victim but some did hit neighboring houses.
