Toms River officials voted this week to build a “spray park” at one of the township’s existing parks, adding an amenity for children to cool off during the summer.
The council voted to enter into a contract with CME Associates, an engineering firm, to design a spray park which would be located at Skyview Park. Skyview Park is located at 811 Vaughn Avenue in the East Dover section of town. CME, the resolution passed by the council said, will assist the township’s internal engineering department with the design.

The exact location or layout of the spray park has not yet been decided-upon, as the contract only calls for its design. The governing body authorized $70,000 for CME’s work in designing the future spray park.
