Between council meetings and ever-stressful Yankees-Mets games this week, a breath of fresh air was warranted. A few minutes just after sunset overlooking the Mantoloking Bridge was just what the day ordered, and nature delivered. We shot a quick two-minute video, which is embedded above. Meanwhile, weather in the Shore are is not going to be so perfect come Wednesday. According to the National Weather Service forecast, there will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2 p.m., then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 2-5 p.m., then another chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening. In between storms, it will be partly sunny, with a high near 75. About a quarter-inch of rain is expected to fall – a bit more in areas that receive thunderstorms.
A chance of showers will continue through much of the night Wednesday into Thursday, though skies will clear in the morning and sunny conditions are expected with a high of 80 degrees.
Friday will bring a chance of showers – then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 2 p.m. It will otherwise be mostly cloudy, with a high near 77.
