Shorebeat’s cameras captured images and used a tape measure to estimate cliff heights at Seventh Avenue. The waves generated by the storm were still eating away at sand by mid-afternoon Friday. The storm had also carved mini “channels” along the beach in Seaside Heights, though the surf was nowhere near reaching the dunes or boardwalk.

The weather is forecast to change significantly over the weekend, though winds will linger. The National Weather Service forecast “Sunny skies, with a high near 42” on Saturday. But breezy, with a west wind 15 to 20 mp.h.
