Toms River officials announced this week that the Bey Lea golf course, owned by the municipality, will close for the season this weekend.
The course will close this Sunday, Dec. 11, 2022 at 4:30 p.m.
“We will reopen in the spring of 2023,” the announcement said. “We would like to thank all of our loyal patrons for their continued support. We wish everyone a healthy and happy holiday season and we look forward to seeing you in the spring!”
According to township records, by the end of November, the course had generated $1,652,054 in revenue. The 2022 total, at the time, had eclipsed the year-to-date total from 2021, which was $1,567,297. The final revenue figures for the year are expected to be reported at an upcoming township council meeting.
