Storm Clouds Threaten, But Hot/Sunny/Perfect Weekend Ahead

Don’t let a few clouds let you down. We didn’t, and we got to enjoy a magnificent twilight period last night. You can enjoy it too in the video above.

A round of storms affected isolated areas of the Jersey Shore Thursday night, and cloudiness is expected again Friday on the heels of an otherwise beautiful summer weekend ahead, the National Weather Service predicted.

The NWS forecast calls for highs returning to the 90s Friday, with the mercury topping out at 91 degrees. But there will be increasing cloudiness, leading to showers and thunderstorms, likely before 2 a.m. overnight between Friday and Saturday, then a slight chance of showers.

Saturday, however, will be virtually perfect, with mostly sunny skies and a high near 87. Northwest wind around 5 m.p.h. Sunday’s forecast is largely the same – sunny skies and a high of 86 degrees with light wind.
