Joey Harrison’s Surf Club is no more.
The little that was left of the iconic Ortley Beach nightspot, destroyed during Superstorm Sandy and now poised to become a public beach in Toms River Township, came down Tuesday.
Township building officials stood by as an excavator tore down the final pieces of the standing structure, leaving only debris that will likely be removed quickly, making an empty lot as all that remains of a place where so many summer memories were made.
