A new strip mall is planned for the Silverton section of Toms River near the Church Road intersection.
The vacant lot, eyed for up to seven tenants, is on Hooper Avenue southbound near the jughandle for Hinds and Church roads.
At approximately 12,600 square feet, the building would be built on the 1.738 acre lot and measure 140 by 90 feet.
A parking lot with 49 spaces would have entrances and exits to both Hooper Avenue and Hinds Road. The zone allows for businesses including a drive through, and the current marketing materials from R.J. Brunelli & Co. mention “seeking restaurants, day cares, auto stores, and urgent care centers.”
Currently the lot is undeveloped, sitting immediately next to the jughandle south of Walgreens.
The building was approved at the April 7 Toms River Planning Board meeting and its performance guarantees were approved by Toms River Council at its August 24 meeting.
