Sports YouTuber extraordinaire Jimmy “Jomboy” O’Brien reaches millions of baseball fans every day on the web platform. His post-game breakdowns attract hundreds of thousands of views, usually within minutes, of everything from strange mishaps, to ejections, to laugh-out-loud moments in America’s pastime.
This week, Jomboy, a Teaneck resident, chronicled the exciting victory of the Toms River East Little Leaguers against their Delaware opponents. The team had been down by three runs, but managed to get the lead runner aboard in the top of the sixth inning with the hope of stringing together some hits and getting on the board.
The inning ultimately included plenty of clutch hitting, a replay challenge and an edge-of-your-seat hustle by Carson Frazier to secure the come-from-behind victory.
East will be heading to Williamsport, Pa., where they will play in the Little League World Series on Thursday at 5 p.m. The game will be streamed by ESPN.
