Toms River police said 6-year-old girl survived a fall from the second-story window of a residential home Monday.
Police and other first responders were called to a home on Hazelwood Road at about 4:15 p.m. for a report of a young girl who accidentally fell from the second story window of her home.
“After the fall, she was alert and conscious,” police spokeswoman Jillian Messina said in a statement. “She walked to the front door to seek help from her mother.”
As a precaution, and due to the nature of the incident, she was transported via ambulance to Jersey Shore Medical Center by hospital paramedics and EMS, Messina said.
There were no updates late Monday night.
