The work week begins in Toms River with two announcements from the township’s Public Works Department.
Due to the observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Monday, public works collections (garbage and recycling) in Toms River will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week.
All garbage and recycling collections will be postponed one day, with Friday’s garbage collections performed on Saturday.
Also, Public Works said in an announcement, Christmas tree and brush collections will take place between Jan. 19, 2021 and Jan. 29, 2021. The items should be left at the curb.
