Toms River police charged two township residents last week – still at large – after they say a large quantity of cocaine and marijuana were found in a car the pair had been riding in.
The TRPD Special Enforcement Team concluded a month-long investigation into the distribution of cocaine within the township, culminating in a Feb. 13 search of a vehicle after a warrant was issued, according to police spokeswoman Jillian Messina.
The suspects of the investigation were Keary Bradley, 47 of Toms River, and Jyniene Hardy, 29 of Toms River, who were both charged.
Members of the SET team executed a search warrant on a seized motor vehicle that had been previously occupied by Mr. Bradley and Ms. Hardy. The subsequent search of the vehicle led to the seizure of over 3 and a half ounces (103 grams) of cocaine and one pound of marijuana, Messina said.
Both Bradley and Hardy were charged with possession of cocaine, possession of over one half ounce of cocaine with the intent to distribute (second degree), possession of over 50 grams of marijuana and possession of over one ounce of marijuana with the intent to distribute.
Both suspects are currently still wanted on these charges and have yet to be apprehended. Anyone with information is being asked to contact the police department at 732-349-0150 x 1383.
