A bank robbery suspect who made headlines last week for wearing a wig and heavy makeup during the heist at Toms River’s First Financial Federal Credit Union has been arrested.
On Saturday, Jan. 25, police arrested Michael Bennett, 31 of Toms River, and transported him to the Toms River Municipal Jail for processing without incident. Bennett was charged with Robbery and is lodged in the county jail pending a bail hearing in Ocean County Superior Court.

Two days earlier, is was suspect of robbing the bank, located at the intersections of Routes 9 and 571, at about 1 p.m. He found then-anonymous notoriety for his female wig and makeup costume.
