Toms River police are on the hunt for a suspect whose choice of dress during a bank robbery didn’t quite mask his true identity.
Police were dispatched to a report of a bank robbery at the First Financial Federal Credit Union, located at the intersections of Routes 9 and 571, at about 1 p.m. Thursday. The male suspect presented a note to the teller and left on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
The male suspect appeared to disguise his appearance with white facial make-up and a shoulder length wig, police said. The wig appeared to be dark in color, with blonde extensions.
The man was carrying a backpack style bag and was wearing a dark colored knit cap, a dark shirt, grey sweat pants and dark colored footwear.
Anyone with information is being asked to contact Detective Jen Grob at 732-349-0150 ext. 1319.
