A Brick man accused of hitting a family of five geese with his car in May, killing them, has been indicted by a grand jury, authorities said Thursday.

Quintin Alec-Manning, 21, of Brick, was indicted Jan. 22 on five counts of animal cruelty.

According to investigators, Toms River police were called to the Indian Head Plaza shopping center after members of the public called to report a man intentionally hitting a family of geese with his vehicle. A subsequent investigation by the Toms River Police Department identified Alec-Manning as the individual who slayed the geese with his car.
