A shooting left three victims with bullet wounds – but none remained at the scene of the incident, police said.
Prosecutors did not release the names, ages or genders of the victims. One went to a home in South Toms River where police and EMTs were called, while the other two – who were determined to have been shot during the same altercation – drove themselves to Community Medical Center in Toms River for treatment.
The victim who ended up at the South Toms River home was treated at the scene before being taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune.
The Ocean County Sheriff’s Department Crime Scene Investigations Unit, Beachwood Police Department and Pine Beach Police Department all assisted the investigation at the scene, prosecutors said.
Anyone with information regarding the incident is being asked to contact South Toms River Police Department Detective Timothy Meier at 732-349-2010 or Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit Detective John Carroll at 732-929-2027.
