Homicide Investigation Underway at Toms River Office Park

Authorities in Toms River confirmed they were investigating the death of a person at the Deer Chase Professional Park, 150 Route 37 West, as a homicide.

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer and Toms River Police Chief Mitch Little released a joint statement announcing that on Wednesday, Aug. 7 at approximately 8:42 p.m., Toms River police were called to the office park for a report of an assault. When they arrived, officers found an unresponsive female, the statement said.



“After lifesaving efforts by first responders, the victim was pronounced dead at Community Medical Center and the investigation became a homicide,” the statement said.

A joint investigation between the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit, Toms River Township Police Department and Ocean County Sheriff’s Department Crime Scene Investigation Unit is ongoing, officials said.

The statement said there is no danger to the general public.
