A shot of cold air ushered in following a late-fall snow day this weekend will last throughout the week, with at least two days struggling to make it above freezing.

Despite the chill, a weather system expected to affect the area Monday night is not forecast to produce much – or any – snow accumulation.

Monday will begin partly sunny, then gradually become sunny, with a high near 42. West wind 5 to 9 m.p.h. Overnight between Monday and Tuesday, there is a chance of rain and snow before 3 a.m., then a chance of rain, snow, and sleet between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m., then a chance of rain after 4 a.m., the National Weather Service said. The overnight low will be around 32. Little or no snow and sleet accumulation is expected, the NWS report said.
