1-3 Inches of Snow Possible Friday Night, Saturday

Forecasters are calling for the Shore to receive its first snowfall of the 2017-18 winter season as temperatures are expected to plunge over the next several days.

According to the National Weather Service, northern Ocean County can expect a slight chance of rain and snow before 9 p.m. Friday night, then a chance of all snow later on. On Saturday, snow is likely before 1 p.m., changing to a mix between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., then changing back to all snow after 4 p.m.. The precipitation will be light, with a high of 38 degrees. Between an inch and three inches of snow are expected in total.



Temperatures are expected to fall below freezing by Friday morning, rebounding to a high of 41 degrees before falling to 30 degrees overnight. The overnight low between Saturday and Sunday will be 28 degrees.
