Toms River police do not suspect foul play in the death of a man whose body was discovered early Saturday morning in Huddy Park.
The body of the 45-year-old Berkeley Township man, whose name was not released publicly because his identity was not yet confirmed, was found after police officers were flagged down by a pedestrian at about 3:30 a.m., said police spokesman Ralph Stocco.
The cause of death will be determined following an autopsy, Stocco said.
The investigation is being conducted by Toms River Police Detectives Jon Turner as well as Detective Taryn Schwartz from the Ocean County Prosecutors Office. Providing additional resources were Detective M. O’Hearn of the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department and Doctor Santangello from the Ocean County Medical Examiner’s Office.
