At least one motorist was seriously injured when a motorcycle and SUV crashed Monday afternoon on Fischer Boulevard.
At 2:20 p.m., a 2014 Hyundai Sonata collided with a motorcycle on Fischer Boulevard near Glasgow Avenue, said police spokesman Ralph Stocco.
“The motorcycle driver was severely injured and transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of life threatening injuries,” said Stocco.
Traffic was expected to be affected for several hours as officers conduct their investigation.
Toms River Traffic Safety Officers David Bartoshek and Robert Westfall are conducting the investigation along with members of the Ocean County Prosecutors Office and Ocean County Sheriff’s Department. Further information will be released late Monday evening or early Tuesday morning, Stocco said.
