Temperatures bottomed out at 13 degrees overnight, at the time this article was published at about 3 a.m. Christmas morning. But before the sun set on Christmas Eve, the first day of frozen “tundra” on Barnegat Bay was on a magnificent display.
We were lucky to capture it before our Christmas Eve activities.
Christmas Day is forecast to be sunny, with a high near 28, according to the National Weather Service. It will be windy, with winds around 15 m.p.h., with gusts as high as 30 m.p.h.
Clouds will roll in Monday, with a high near 31 degrees, with winds still breezy, ranging from 10-20 m.p.h.
