Due to the impending coastal storm, forecast to bring rain and high winds to the Shore area this weekend, two major local events have been canceled.
Brick Farmers Market: The Brick Farmers Market had been scheduled to begin its annual weekend schedule this weekend at Windward Beach Park, but will now have to wait an extra week to begin. The market will then continue on its normal schedule.
Toms River Food Fest: The annual Food Fest celebration in downtown Toms River was expected to be revived this Saturday following previous cancellations due to pandemic policies, but has also been canceled. Township spokesman Art Gallagher said the event will not be rescheduled and will have to wait another year. There had been a rain date set for Sunday, however the weather is expected to remain poor then as well.
