The first flakes of snow for the fall 2020 season may come Wednesday, forecasters at the National Weather Service said, but no significant accumulation is expected – and, typical for the Shore, precipitation will be a mixed bag.

According to the NWS forecast, there will be a slight chance of snow showers between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., then a better chance of rain and snow showers during the afternoon. Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy with a high near 41 degrees.

The NWS said new snow accumulation of less than a half inch is possible.
