Investigators have filed murder and weapons charges against a juvenile in the murder of Margarita Diaz, 44, of Manchester, who was found dead in a Toms River medical office last week.
The juvenile’s name, age and description were withheld by authorities, who cited the person’s age. It was also not revealed what the juvenile was doing at the medical facility, the Deer Chase Professional Park, last Wednesday.
According to the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, the juvenile was charged with murder, possession of a weapon – a knife – for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon. There was an additional charge filed for endangering the welfare of a child.
The juvenile is being detained in the Ocean County Juvenile Detention Center, the statement from the prosecutor’s office said.
