Beach badges for the 2019 summer season will go on sale April 1 in Toms River, officials said this week.
Prices for beach badges will remain the same as last year, with an early season discount. From April 1 through May 27, a seasonal beach badge will cost $35 to access the beaches along the oceanfront in Ortley Beach and the bay at Shelter Cove. After May 27, the price for a season badge will rise to $50. Children under the age of 12 do not need a badge.
Senior citizens may obtain a beach ID for a one-time fee of $15 and are good for one’s lifetime (a senior must show proof of age).
Other prices for this summer season include:
- Weekly Badges (For a week running Saturday to Friday): $25
- Daily badges (Monday-Friday): $7
- Weekend/Holiday Daily Badges: $8
- Resident Seasonal Pool Badge (Adult): $150
- Resident Seasonal Pool Badge (Senior/Children 4-12): $75
- Nonresident Seasonal Pool Badge (Adult): $300
- Nonresident Seasonal Pool Badge (Senior/Children 4-12): $150
Swimming lessons are $50.
Badges can be purchased at the Recreation Administration Office, 1810 Warren Point Road, or the Toms River Senior Center located at 652 Garfield Avenue, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
