Toms River’s planning board has been tasked with reviewing an application to make significant renovations to the McDonald’s fast food restaurant located on Hooper Avenue in township’s Silverton section.
The upgrades to the restaurant, located at 1786 Hooper Avenue, require just one minor variance for its setback from the roadway. Plans call for site alterations and building modifications to the existing restaurant, including the addition of a side-by-side drive-through facility, the addition of a 147 square foot freezer, the addition of several new canopies, the implementation of handicap-accessibility improvements, the installation of new drive-through and wall signage, plus the removal of the existing Playland area and drive-thru canopy.
The board will hear McDonald’s application Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at its 6 p.m. meeting.
