Suspect Sought in Toms River Arson, Attempted Murder Case

Police have identified a suspect in an April 7 fire that they say was intentionally set and intended to kill another person.

Kenneth Lyons, 36, of Ocean Township, is suspect of being behind the 1:30 a.m. blaze at 6 Castro Grove Road. He is charged with setting two fires, however prosecutors did not divulge his alleged motives nor his intended victim.



Lyons, who could not be located at his listed addresses, is 5-foot-9 and weighs approximately 204 pounds, the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Kenneth is being urged to contact TRPD Detective Andrew Chencharik at 732-349- 0150 Ext. 1338,

treated as confidential, officials said.
