Toms River native and UFC star Frankie Edgar will appear at an event this week aimed at curbing drug abuse.
“Get in the Ring to Knock Out Substance Abuse” will include talks by Edgar, a former UFC lightweight champion, three-time All American wrestler Dan O’Cone, of Brick, and Trish Horner, a mother who kept a journal of her son’s drug abuse.
The event will be held Thursday, Jan. 11 at Brick Township High School, Chambers Bridge Road, Brick, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Admission is free.
