Building on post-inauguration protest marches, Ocean County Democrats are seeking candidates to put their ideas into action.
The county Democratic organization is planning two information sessions on running for office and what to expect.
“If you’ve ever thought about running for office, or would like to get involved in a campaig- this training is for you,” an announcement circulated through social media said. “This is the first session in a series, and will go over how to get on the ballot and what it takes to get started.”
The program is titled: “Making a Difference: How, Why and When in the Trump Era.”
The two sessions will be held at locations of the Ocean County Library. The first will take place Wednesday, Feb. 8 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Toms River branch, 101 Washington Street. The second will be held at the Barnegat branch Feb. 23 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A Facebook event with more information can be found here.
